Asinan is a pickled (through brined or vinegared) vegetable or fruit dish, commonly found in Indonesia. The term asin is Indonesian word for "salty", which refers to the process of preserving the ingredients by soaking them in a solution of salty water. Asinan is quite similar to rujak', which is usually served fresh, while asinan is preserved vegetables or fruits. Of the many types and variations of asinan in Indonesia.
Asinan Betawi is a vegetable asinan of the Betawi people from Jakarta is preserved Chinese cabbage, cabbage, bean sprouts, tofu, and lettuce served in a thin, hot, peanut sauce with vinegar, topped with peanuts and krupuk (especially krupuk mie).

Ingredients

  • 200 g noodles
  • ¼ tbsp vinegar
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 gr bean sprouts
  • 100 gr cabbage leaves, finely sliced
  • 50 gr radish, finely sliced
  • 50 gr carrot, peeled, sliced stem lighter fine
  • 50 gr ready salted mustard greens, sliced crosswise ½ cm
  • 200 g cucumber, peeled, 2 pieces lengthwise, cut
  • crosswise ½ cm
  • 100gr pineapple fruit, peeled, remove eyes, slit lengthwise 2 parts, sliced crosswise 1 cm
  • Thick brown sugar (given a little salt)
  • Beans land, fry
  • Emping fry
  • Asinan Betawi sauce
  • 100 gr peanut fry
  • 7 pieces red chili, fried
  • 2 cloves garlic, fry
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 500 ml water cooked
  • 3 tbsp sugar palm vinegar

How to Make

  1. Boil egg noodles until soft, lift, poke with ½ tbsp oil
  2. that is not sticky
  3. ¼ tbsp vinegar stirred with 100 ml of water. Enter the
  4. bean sprouts, cabbage, radish, and carrots.
  5. To pickle sauce: red chili, garlic, salt and
  6. sugar mashed. Enter the bean, and then mashed,added palm
  7. sugar vinegar.
  8. Serve: put the egg noodles, salted mustard greens,
  9. cucumber, pineapple, pickle (bean sprouts, cabbage,
  10. radish, and carrots). Enter the pickle sauce. Serve with
  11. emping, peanuts, sugar and condensed water.
